The Do's and Don'ts of Fire Restoration

In a state of panic it may be hard to make good judgment calls but we want to remind you of a few simple things.
Do turn off utilities: Turn of water, electricity, gas, and any other utilities until a SERVPRO professional can evaluate if any of these systems were damaged during the fire.
Don’t clean walls or clothing: Also, do not clean walls, ceilings and other similar surfaces, and wait to clean your clothing and similar garments. A professional should examine them first and provide advice.
By remembering just these two simple do’s and don’ts you could save yourself a big headache when it comes to dealing with a fire loss in your home. You should always trust a SERVPRO professional to come on the scene to give you the best recommendations for you, your home, your items, and your pets.
